Money Money Money

After so much consideration, I decided to post something about what I feel & think about Singapore.

-

I'm a Singaporean. Pure Singaporean.
I'm 10% satisfied with Singapore being "Safe & Secure".
There are many points of us being "Safe & Secure" which I'm too lazy to type them one by one.

BUTTTT...

-

Here's some questions/pointers I've been asking myself,

1) HOUSE

Right arrow Why do we have to pay so much for our HDB Flat every year and when the leasehold expires, we have to return our houses back to the government?
HEY, COME ON.

Right arrow How much do we have to pay for the house itself every year?
Paying for our own houses isn't really the main problem.
But paying too much is the BIGGEST PROBLEM we have encounter in this country.

Right arrow Why do we have to pay 'Property Tax' every year?
We don't earn much every month. Some of us have family members who is suffering from chronic illness and their medical costs are so expensive. Don't bullshit about the subsidies & etc. Most of us (the complaining ones) live in HDB Flat, a government property and not private properties!!
Is this fair for us?

Right arrow Do you know that the amount we are paying for a 3rms HDB Flat in Singapore, we can actually buy a bigger house (Terrace/Mansion/Bungalow) in other country? What's better is that the house is FOREVER yours, you don't have to pay and pay none stop every single year, there isn't any leasehold & we don't have to return our houses back to the government.

2) VEHICLE

Look at how much we have to pay just for a car that will be yours for only 10 years.
Right arrow 50% Down-Payment (Vehicle)
Right arrow C.O.E (Certificate Of Entitlement)
Right arrow Road Tax (Yearly)
Right arrow Car Insurance (Yearly)
Right arrow Servicing (Yearly)
Right arrow ERP (Daily)
Right arrow Season Parking (Monthly)
and many more....

We have 4 new ERP Gantries is opening next Monday. I believe it's those at Jurong Town Hall and Clementi.

Right arrow Why do we have to pay for ERP?
The rate is getting higher and higher each time. And they are adding more and more ERP Gantries all around Singapore. We have paid Road Tax and C.O.E why must we pay even more for ERP? Though they are in small amount like $1-$3, but they are still money, hard earned money. If you have it around town area, I don't mind. But why the hell are you adding almost everywhere in Singapore?
Can you imagine few weeks/months/years in future, I have to pay for ERP while I'm on my way home?
Do you know the amount we pay for a Toyota Prius (US$154,000) in Singapore, we can actually buy something much better in the other country?

Watch the video link below, and look at how these Hollywood Stars (Fast & Furious 5) reacted after knowing how high Singapore car prices are.

Prices of everything is increasing every single year.
Singapore have too many vehicles driving around everyday, which is the reason why we are high in unhealthy air pollution, and this may be the reason why we have to pay so much just for a vehicle including ERP rates. In this case, you shouldn't have increased public transportation fares! You want people to take public transport more often rather than driving to save the environment, than you shouldn't increased the public transportation fares isn't it?!

GST are also increasing every year. This year it's already 7%, how much will it be in future? Sometimes, I really feel in Singapore, money is really very important. Without money, there's nothing we can do. Even those elderly in the 70's, 80's & 90's have to selling tissue papers to make a living for themselves. Selling tissue papers doesn't mean they don't have to pay the government anything. I've a neighbor, an elderly in his middle 80's, told me that he have to pay S$100 per month to the government just so he can continue selling tissues. LIKE WTF?? It's really heartbreaking to see old people having to work so hard at such a old age. AND AND AND... Even now if when we go overseas for holiday, and buy too many stuffs back, we have to pay GST again...

MONEY MONEY MONEY.
WHY LIKE THAT?

Did anyone notice that during this year (2014), there is so many murder cases going on in Singapore? Man found dead inside a luggage, Dead body found by the drain/river, Women killed at Tampines flat, Police officer killed both father and son and etc etc. Is this place still safe and secure? I doubt so.

I'm just stating how I feel & think as a Singaporean.
Kindly keep your comments to yourself if you disagree.

That's all for the day!
