Brought Cayden for BabySPA @ Westgate
This is his first time and he is enjoying so much that when the staff brought him up, he started crying!

Baby Spa seems to be like a trend in Singapore nowadays. Those baby in a neck float swimming in a bubble spa tub, kicking around in the water exercising. It's super cute! Babies right from the age of 1 month old and go for a swim.

Baby swimming from birth is fantastic for your baby's health & development, and could spark a lifetime's interest in the sport. Each swim provides a complete physical work-out, strengthening you baby's heart and lungs and in turn aiding development of the brain - including stimulating all 5 senses (taste, smell, touch, sight and sound).

Benefits of Swimming for babies:

1. It boosts confidence

Introducing children to water at a very young age helps prevent a fear of water developing later. Exercises that involves moving independently in water and holding on to the side are wonderful for your baby's confident. You'll be so proud of what your baby can do.

2. It develops their co-ordination

Being in the water helps improve co-ordination and balance.

3. It builds their strength

Buoyancy and water-resistance mean that babies exercise more muscles, more effectively, in water than on land.

4. It enhances their well-being

Warm water relaxes your baby, and swimming stimulates their appetite; for you, the good news is improved sleeping and eating patterns!

5. Great for Physical Development

There isn't a lot of activities your 1 month old can do for exercising besides lying in the cot and waking up to be fed. Baby swimming is completely natural; having spent months surrounded by fluid in the womb, babies have a real affinity with water.

6. Great for Mental Development

The first year of a life is crucial in terms of their development, as it is in this period that their brain grows most rapidly. Regular exercise plays a vital role in this, with every movement they make helping to strengthen their brain for new learning.

7. You can start from 1 month onwards

Parents must make the following preparations:

1. Feed your baby at least 30 minutes to one hour in advance.
2. Bring some milk powder as baby will be hungry after water-training.
3. Bring your own towel.

They will exercise your babies arm, legs and hips before the swim.

They will slowly put your baby into the pool until baby is accustomed to the water without scaring the baby. New water is prepared for each swim and the staff will also make sure the water temperature is of the same to the temperature to a mother's womb and teaches the baby how to kick and swim.

After a couple of minutes, Cayden start swimming confidently by himself and the staff could let go of him.

It was a pretty good experience with them. And i'm looking forward to bring Cayden there often so he can enjoy and learn at the same time!
